About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and HungryRaccoon ("we", "us", "our"). They cover the HungryRaccoon app on iPhone and Android, and this website, hungryraccoonapp.com. By making an account or using the app or the site, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your information.

Who can use HungryRaccoon

You must be 13 or older to make an account, and we ask for your birthday when you sign up to check this. If you're under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission to use HungryRaccoon. You can browse places without an account.

Your account

Use an email address you own and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account, so tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else is using it. One account per person, please. Don't pick a username that pretends to be someone else or a business you don't speak for. We may change a username that does.

Your ratings, reviews, photos and lists

What you post is yours. When you make something public, you let us store it, show it in the app and on this website, and let people share it, for free and anywhere HungryRaccoon is available, for as long as it stays public. We may also feature it on our own social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn), always with your username and never in a misleading way. You can make it private or delete it at any time. When you do, we stop showing it, but we can't pull back copies other people already made, such as screenshots.

Ratings and reviews should be your own honest experience of a place. Don't rate a place you own or work for, a competitor's, or one run by your friends or family. Don't post fake ratings for or against anyone, swap reviews, or accept money, discounts or free food for a rating, and restaurants mustn't offer them. You can use tools to help you write, but the experience has to be yours.

You're responsible for what you post. Only post what you have the right to share, and only photos you took or have permission to use.

The rules

HungryRaccoon has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post or do anything that: harasses, threatens or bullies someone; attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality; is sexual, violent or graphic; shares someone's private information; is spam, advertising or a scam; pretends to be someone else; or breaks the law.

Don't try to get around the app's security or limits, get into other people's accounts, or use bots or scripts to copy the app's content or post for you.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

You can report a person, a review or a list from inside the app, and block anyone so you don't see each other. We review reports promptly. We may hide content that breaks these terms, and suspend or delete accounts that break them, without warning if the problem is serious. If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected] and we'll reply within 14 days.

Restaurant information

Restaurant details, opening hours, photos and Google ratings come partly from public sources, including Google, and can be out of date or wrong. Please check with the restaurant before you go. Ratings from Google are labelled as Google's, and ratings from people on HungryRaccoon are their own opinions, not ours. If you run a restaurant and something about it is wrong, email us and we'll fix it.

Our content

The HungryRaccoon name, logo, app, website and design belong to HungryRaccoon. Please don't copy or reuse them without asking. Restaurant names and trademarks belong to their owners. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. HungryRaccoon is free, and we may change or stop parts of it. If we ever shut it down, we'll tell you in advance.

Other services

The app links to other apps and sites, such as maps for directions and your phone for calls. We don't control them, and their own terms apply. The App Store and Google Play have their own terms for downloading the app.

No guarantees

We provide HungryRaccoon as it is. We work to keep it accurate, safe and available, but we can't promise it will always be. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for losses that come from relying on restaurant information or other people's ratings. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Cambodian consumer protection law, or our responsibility for harm we cause on purpose or through serious carelessness.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia. If you have a problem with us, please email us first so we can try to sort it out. If we can't, the courts of Phnom Penh will decide it, unless the law of the country you live in gives you the right to go to your own courts.

If a court finds part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we publish these terms in other languages, the English version applies where they differ.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and if the change matters, we'll tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using HungryRaccoon after that, the new terms apply.
